Meet Duncan!

Yes! I have finally put up some pictures of Duncan! The above photo was taken just a few minutes ago when Duncan and Seamus were waking up from their mid-morning nap, which is good, because when Duncan is fully awake, it is impossible to take a picture of him without flash.

Here are some stats:

Full Name: Duncan Faheely Kowollowat
Breed: long-haired Miniature Dachshund
Color: tri-color
Birthday: 10/15/2009
Weight: 4 lbs (will be around 8 when full grown)
Favorite toy: Sock Monkey
Favorite food: Etienne's cat food
Favorite activity: chewing, chasing, pooping in the wrong place
Favorite napping spot: being held on the couch while watching Star Trek

And now for more pictures...

Here is Duncan napping....

The only way to get a picture of Duncan's face is when he is either asleep or being held up. This is the latter.

This picture, I think, adequately represents how luxurious and over-large his ears are.

Sometimes Duncan would rather be on the ground chewing on things, but sometimes he is held back from doing so. This is the look he gives when this happens.

Duncan likes to stretch in the most obscene ways.

Duncan has 3 beds, this one is his second favorite. (after our own bed of course)

Another picture of Duncan this morning. He sleeps most of the night in his kennel, but usually persuades me into letting him on the bed around 6 AM or so. He usually sleeps between us, but decided that Seamus' feet were a better spot today.

Duncan, despite his low stature, seems to think it is a good idea to leap off of tall furniture. Here he is, about to leap the daring 1 1/2 feet off our bed.

Duncan asleep with is eyes open.

Another shot of him this morning. As you can see, he has quite the schnaze.

This is Seamus' favorite picture of Duncan.

Like a true Scotsman, Duncan likes plaid.

Om nom nom nom

Duncan really likes t-shirts, as we discovered our first day with him.

Yes, we did get him a sweater as you can see. He is OK with it, but it's a little big for him, so I don't expect to wrestle him into it again anytime soon.

Yes, this is a crappy cell-phone picture, but I just love how long he looks in this picture. He loves napping on Seamus :)

So that's Duncan! He's pretty freaking awesome, so awesome in fact that I am going to get off the computer now and go play with him. I'll be sure to post more pictures of him soon.

I have to admit that Duncan is one cute puppy. The Nina was NOT impressed. acted like we'd brought another GRANDCHILD into the house. Of course the girls were ecstatic about him. He's pretty darn fun...and hopefully won't poop at the neighbor's again.
